Bruce "Snake" Gabrielson's Surfing Museum and Surf Art Gallery
A Private collection focused on the sport and culture.

Maryland's only Surfing Cultural Museum and Surf Art Gallery
We also do board repairs in Chesapeake Beach and can arrange for paddleouts.

Open most days by appointment only. You must call well ahead. The museum is normally closed during the winter between mid-January and April.
Closed when the surf is good.
Also, contact us about the Surf Culture class we host at the museum different times during the year.

The museum is located on Rt 261 about 3 miles south of Chesapeake Beach.
Look for the surfboard sign on the inland side (don't go by GPS).

Awarded the 2014 Best of Chesapeake Beach Award in the Corporate Campus Category. Also, selected among the top 24 cultural sites by the Maryland Department of Tourism

Located next to the offices of the non-profit National Surf Schools and Instructors Association, this museum contains many significant historical items related to the sport of surfing collected by its founder over the past 50 years. Here you will see some unique surfing exhibits and artifacts that other surf museums can only envey. There is no cost but we have many visitors, including international visitors, so reservations are now required.
